As self confessed eating addicts, from the moment we met we have shared a passion for good food. What started as a daydream when kneading our own dough became a hobby as we experimented with different ingredients, and not long after, Bertie’s was born. As a mixture of both our names Liberty and Robert, Berties is an amalgamation of our characters and our ethos: to make quality, delicious food that is an unpretentious as us!
We eat a lot of pizza, so we know what tastes good!
Our pizzas are made from scratch!
We leave our dough to rise slowly meaning the crusts taste so good you could eat them on their own! Each pizza is cooked in our mobile wood-fired oven, reaching temperatures around 500c
We make our own sauces and pestos using local ingredients wherever possible. We cook these low and slow to intensify the flavour.
We use local charcuterie and cheeses, and wherever possible seasonal veg that is as proud to be Norfolk as us.
