- This beautiful site is actually within the parish of Knapton and is owned by the North Norfolk Community Woodland Trust. Pigney's Wood, North Walsham has over 20,000 trees of 40 different species planted since 1992.
- The coat of Lepus the GoGo Hare represents land and sea and he is created from fragments of glinting glass, plates and mirror, reflecting the everyday beauty around us.
- The North Walsham War Memorial commemorates the residents of North Walsham who were killed or missing in World War I and World War II.
- This 14th century Monument to the Peasants Revolt standing by Monument Cottage on Norwich Road, is on what was heathland to the south of North Walsham near where the Bishop Henry Despenser put down a Peasants Revolt.
- A 22 mile route, between Cromer and North Walsham. Much of Paston Way travels through land once owned by the famous Paston Family and passes sixteen of the areas ancient and beautiful churches.
- North Walsham and the surrounding North Norfolk area have many beautiful Footpaths and Walks for you to enjoy.
- Fantastic scenery and landscape cover the 93 miles (150 Km) of the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path. The majority of the trail running through Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
- At a total of 57 miles, Weavers’ Way footpath runs between Great Yarmouth and Cromer and is named after the local weaving industry which shaped the local landscape of the Medieval Period.
- Bryant’s Heath (Felmingham Heath) is a 44-acre biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of North Walsham. Easily reached from North Walsham via Weaver's Way footpath.
- North Walsham has several, well equipped Local Parks and Play Areas with various facilities.
- Bluebell Pond dates back to the 1600s when it was known as surveyors pit and it was used as a watering shed for animals by people who transported cattle from the Midlands.

- North Walsham has many Historic Plaques around the town centre which you may stumble upon all installed by the North Walsham Rotary Club to celebrate its centenary in 2005.
- In North Walsham's Memorial Park stands the North Walsham Oak Tree Sculpture which commemorates the Battle of the Peasants Revolt at North Walsham in 1381 and the Agricultural Workers Union being founded in the town in 1906.
- Norfolk’s only sailing canal with locks is a rapidly-developing success story for tourism, leisure and the industrial heritage of north-east Norfolk. The North Walsham & Dilham Canal if a progressively regenerated, scenic 19th-century waterway.
- Predominantly a plantation of Scots Pine dating back to the 1950s, Sadler's Wood, North Walsham also contains some veteran oak, sweet chestnut and hornbeam trees and a carpet of bluebells in the spring.
- Just two miles north-east of North Walsham on the Happisburgh Road stands Witton Woods (Bacton Woods) which dates back to Saxon times, and includes ancient Sessile Oaks and at least thirty other species of tree.
