About the archive

At the end of 2025, after 18 years, the North Walsham archive group disbanded as the North Walsham Heritage Centre had pretty much taken over what the archive group started out to do and most group members were part of both groups.This allows the same work to be carried out in one central place in a more efficient manner.

The digital and online aspect of the archive group (this website, Facebook, the digital archive, etc.) is now ran as a solo project by Wayne Beauchamp who was a group member for the last 15 years of the group's existence and chairman for 7 of those years. Wayne works closely with the heritage centre to share photographs from their collection via web, social media and in print.

If you have just one photo or memorabilia of the area you can drop it in to North Walsham Heritage Centre, Vicarage Street, North Walsham They are also interested in photographs of the villages around North Walsham which can be added to the archive.
